Highest Number Of Pilgrimage By-Proxy Requests Ever Recorded

Media Department Director of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine revealed the finalized number of by-proxy pilgrimages which reached 755,000 during the year 2014. Most requests are sent by the desires of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) from around the globe and are usually submitted on commemoration days or Thursday nights. For this reason, the Holy Shrine had dedicated a set of volunteers every Thursday to perform the pilgrimages on behalf of the individuals who sent the requests.
