Iraq’s Border Ports Record Over 187,000 Pilgrims Entering for Arbaeen

Iraq’s Border Ports Authority announced that more than 187,000 pilgrims have entered the country through nine air and land border points to take part in the Arbaeen pilgrimage commemorating Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
According to Authority spokesperson Alaa Al-Din Al-Qaisi, official figures recorded on Saturday, August 2, are as follows:
- Zurbatiyah: 87,598 pilgrims
- Shalamcheh: 52,929
- Al-Mundhiriyah: 14,859
- Al-Shayb: 11,780
- Safwan: 2,596
- Haj Omran: 2,935
- Bashmakh: 1,434
- Baghdad International Airport: 7,187
- Najaf International Airport: 6,056
The total number of pilgrims who have entered Iraq for the pilgrimage so far stands at 187,347.
