American traveler tours Iraq’s holy shrines and archeological sites, says he found kindness, love and respect from Iraqis

The American traveler and surgeon, Dr. Brian Gundiff, accompanied by his eldest son, visited the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Museum and toured its displayed artifacts.

The traveler said that "this museum is very distinguished in terms of the quality of the exhibits, and it expresses the love and loyalty of those who donated it."

Gundiff praised the Iraqi people, saying, "I found here a completely different reality from what the US media publishes about Iraq and its people. I found kindness, love and respect in them."

He explained, "This is my 156th stop in my travel schedule around the globe. During my stay in Iraq, I visited several archaeological, heritage and tourist places, the most important of which were the Erbil Citadel, the ziggurat, the marshes in southern Iraq, and the holy shrines."

Gundiff is a surgeon specializing in retinal medicine, where he completed his academic studies in 1990 and holds a master's degree in healthcare leadership from the University of Denver.
