Israeli occupation forces restrict Muslims from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Israeli occupation forces closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem and prevented Muslims from performing their worship.

According to what the Palestinian News Agency reported, quoting the Islamic Endowments Department responsible for the site, "The occupation police suddenly closed all the gates leading to the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem in order to forbid Muslims from entering."

They added, "The occupation police have tightened entry procedures into the mosque. As only elders are allowed."

They concluded, "This situation changed quickly, as worshippers of all ages were forbidden from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is an unusual step that had not been taken for months. At the same time, Jews were allowed to enter in the morning to walk around and perform their rituals freely."
